General conditions:
- The applicant accepts responsibility to inform CE at UP Trust of any changes in
the information supplied on the enrolment form.
- The applicant confirms that he/she complies with the particular requirements of
the course where applicable as prescribed in the marketing material.
- By submitting the enrolment form, the applicant indicates his/her desire to be
registered for the course and therefore accepts full responsibility
for the payment of the course fees as stipulated in the registration
information.
- The applicant herewith agrees to abide by the assessment criteria for the course
as stipulated in the course material and to familiarise him/herself
with the policy on plagiarism of the University of Pretoria.(http://upetd.up.ac.za/authors/create/plagiarism/students.htm)
- The library facilities of UP will not be available to delegates and UP will therefore
have no responsibility to provide a delegate with access to such facilities.
- The language of presentation of courses is English unless stated otherwise.
- In the event of any dispute of any nature whatsoever arising between the parties
on any matter, the South African law will apply and the appropriate
course of South Africa will have jurisdiction.
- Intellectual property rights of the course vests with the University of Pretoria
and course material may not be reproduced or distributed.
Security and Privacy:
- CE at UP Trust is committed to the protection of the privacy of delegates. Personal
information of delegates is stored in the institution’s databases
to which access is strictly controlled.
- Personal information of delegates will not be disclosed to any third parties without
the permission of the delegate.
- The applicant herewith accepts full responsibility for the protection of passwords
providing access to the CE at UP portal.
The applicant hereby consents to the following:
- CE at UP may use personal information to communicate to the delegate from time
to time
- CE at UP may use the personal information for non-personal statistical purposes
- CE at UP may use the personal information for marketing purposes unless indicated
otherwise
Disclaimer:
- Neither CE at UP Trust nor any of its agents or representatives shall be liable
for any damage, loss or liability of whatsoever nature arising from
the attendance of a course presented by CE at UP.
Cancellation policy:
- CE at UP reserves the right to cancel or postpone a course, in which case applicants
will be informed and applicable fees will be refunded.
- Cancellations are accepted in writing and without penalty up to 14 days prior
to course commencement or prior to the closing date for applications.
- Notification of cancellation must be submitted in writing either via email or
fax to the course coordinator.
- Applicants who cancel their registration after the closing date for registrations,
or less than 14 days prior to course commencement, will be liable for
50% of the course fee.
- Non-arrivals will be charged 100% of the course fee.
Amendments:
- Unforeseen circumstances may necessitate the appointment of speakers other than
those advertised.
- Course dates, programme sequence, time and venue are subject to change without
notice.
Payment conditions:
- Course fees must be paid in full prior to course commencement.
- Proof of payment must be supplied to the course coordinator and is required to
confirm registration on the course.
- All payments must reflect the payment reference as indicated on the confirmation
of registration document.
- The applicant remains responsible for payment of the course fee. Should the course
fee be funded by an institution (including the employer) on behalf
of the applicant, the applicant accepts full responsibility to
supply CE at UP with supporting documentation in the form of an official purchase
order indicating that the institution will submit payment on behalf
of the applicant. The applicant remains responsible to ensure
that the institution honors its payment commitment.

QUOTATIONS:
Acceptance of Quotations:
Should a client accept a quotation for either doing an in-house training course or sending a number of delegates from one company to a particular course, the signing of the Acceptance document serves as a binding contract. This acceptance document should be fax to CE at UP at fax number + 27 (0) 866 359 213.
- CE at UP is exempt from VAT.
- The Registration Fee is included in the course fee;
- CE at UP reserves the right to cancel the training session if the minimum number of delegates per group is not met;
- Unforeseen circumstances may necessitate the appointment of presenters different from those scheduled;
- A signed and completed Acceptance Document (last page of this quotation) and a copy of the Purchase Order stating the payment date is required to reserve/book your course dates;

Payment Requirements
The total course fee is payable prior to the start date of the course. In the event of alternative payment arrangements, prior written agreement should be reached with CE at UP. Only the signed Acceptance Document attached hereto is regarded as a valid acceptance of this quotation and should be accompanied by an official purchase order and payment date to reserve course dates. CE at UP is exempt from VAT and therefore does not issue VAT invoices.
Cancellation:
In the event of cancellation of a course by the Client within fourteen (14) days prior to the start date of the course, for whatever reason, a cancellation freewill apply equal to 50% (fifty percent) of the course fee plus any direct expenses incurred by CE at UP from date of acceptance to date of cancellation. Cancellation should be done in writing and faxed to CE at UP at fax number + 27 (0) 12 362 5285.
Breach of Contract:
Should the Client breach any term or condition of this contract and fail to remedy such breach within 48 (forty eight) hours after having been requested to do so in writing at the Client’s fax number or e-mail address, CE at UP may cancel the contract with immediate effect and reserve the right to recover from the Client all damages suffered as a result of such breach.
Disclaimer:
Continuing Education at University of Pretoria Trust, trading as CE at UP, shall
not be held liable for any personal accidents, illness, losses or damage to private
property of registered CE at UP delegates. This includes traveling to and from the
venue, as well as shuttle services to and from hotels or other accommodation venues.
Personal insurance coverage for health,accidents, lost of luggage or trip cancellations
are strongly recommended for CE at UP delegates.
